Outdoor materials must be resistant to weather, direct sunlight exposure, and other extreme elements. Therefore, the materials used in outdoor furniture must be chosen carefully so that the furniture can last for a long time for consumers.

Some of the materials we use are:
Iron is one of the great materials for outdoor use because of its strong characteristics and malleability, which will maintain its shape as furniture. Iron is the most abundant element on Earth and comes from Iron ores obtained through mining. Therefore, the price of Iron is more affordable compared to Aluminum. In most homes, iron furniture is used outdoors. By using metal as a furniture component, it is easy to maintain a clean appearance for several decades.

In our design, Iron is naturally cool and has a neutral color, and is also versatile to be used in various design styles, such as Mid-Century Modern, Modern Farmhouse, and Industrial Modern.

Preventing rust is very important for iron, as without it, iron will rust over time due to the interaction of water vapor in the atmosphere. We use a hot-dip galvanizing process to effectively prevent corrosion. When the iron frame is dipped into molten zinc, the metallurgical reaction between the metals forms a zinc-iron alloy layer, which provides a strong integral layer against reactions to water. Hot-dip galvanizing has been used for a long time to protect steel structures in various environments and can last for more than 30-170 years.

Treatment: To maintain the iron frame, we recommend cleaning off any dust every week. For spills, clean with a cloth or sponge dampened with warm soapy water. Avoid using harsh chemicals such as bleach, as it may damage the coating. For extra protection, a thin layer of non-abrasive car wax can be applied. This will ensure the final finish is protected from damage caused by sunlight.
Aluminum is a perfect material for outdoor furniture in all weather conditions, as it does not undergo oxidation processes and thus does not rust. Aluminum is highly practical due to its flexibility, lightweight, and ability to maintain its shape in our organic design. Aluminum is often used in our furniture because it requires little maintenance to maintain its appearance and function. Depending on global supply, using aluminum to decorate your outdoor space can be cost-effective. Treatment: To care for the aluminum surface, wash the furniture frame with a soft cloth using soap. Sometimes car wax can be used to maintain the finish. Avoid abrasive sponges and brushes or corrosive chemical cleaners, as they will damage the finish.
For most of our outdoor woven furniture, we use outdoor rope. The fibers of this rope are made from polyethylene, due to its weather-resistant and durable properties. We love using this material because the possibilities are endless – to create variations of colors and designs, all using one material.

More than just decoration, this rope can also function as the structure of the furniture, such as swing, backrest, and seat. We appreciate the simple aesthetics by using it in simple weaves, braids, and knots. Organic base colors such as dark gray, gray, cream, black, and white are the most popular.

Treatment:
To maintain the outdoor rope, clean up spills as soon as possible. To clean, apply mild soap foam and scrub the solution with a soft cloth. Then rinse thoroughly and let it dry. Do not use abrasive materials, excessive rubbing, or high-pressure hoses. Do not use sharp objects to avoid accidentally cutting or damaging the rope.
Many customers crave for rattan furniture as part of their outdoor collection. Knowing that rattan is a material that can degrade over time, we offer Poly-Rattan, also known as synthetic or imitation rattan. This is a synthetic material primarily used in outdoor furniture, such as lounge chairs, benches, sofa sets, dining sets, and more. Poly-Rattan has been quite successful in innovation in recent years, and has become the best woven choice for many customers to achieve a natural yet beautiful look.

Poly-Rattan is made with a non-porous structure. Because it is 100% waterproof, it can withstand long-term moisture without worrying about it and is also resistant to fungi. High-quality furniture made of Poly-Rattan can last up to 8-10 years.

Treatment: Poly-Rattan can be washed with water, you can directly spray it to remove stains and dust. Regularly wiping it with a damp cloth is also enough to make the furniture look as fresh as ever.
Designed to mimic the natural beauty of tropical Water Hyacinth, this synthetic Water Hyacinth is weather-resistant and offers a unique and durable look. The flat fibers are made of high-density polyethylene that is 15mm wide, folded in half, twisted, and woven. This weave is produced to the highest standards and quality, making it resistant to bending, cracking, or splitting. It is also non-toxic and 100% recyclable, making it one of the toughest and most environmentally friendly solutions available on the market. Using it outdoors adds a tropical aesthetic to your patio and outdoor areas.

Treatment:
This synthetic Water Hyacinth requires low maintenance. Occasionally, clean it with mild soap, warm water, and a soft microfiber cloth. Do not use cleaners or abrasive materials to clean it.
Outdoor straps one of the ideal materials for outdoor furniture. depending on the type of use, these straps can be made very rigid or very flexible and are available in a variety of colors. straps are made from 100% acrylic, stabilized in the process to minimize the effects of UV rays, and are therefore also resistant to mold and mildew. Outdoor straps can also have foam, dacron, or quick-drying foam inserted before weaving to add volume and value to the product for greater user comfort.

Using outdoor straps provides many advantages, besides being more cost-effective compared to full wood, weave, or iron, users can also customize the comfort of their seating.
Leather straps are commonly used as the main material for sofa chairs. Leather is a favorite material for some people because it is timeless and does not wear out over time. At Kayalami, we only use high-quality top-grain leather from cows to weave furniture frames. In the process, we tone the leather to regulate the color to avoid color discrepancies. Then, we soak it in saltwater to remove the smell and other impurities. For the bottom of the leather, chemicals are further mixed to make it more durable.

Leather is a premium choice for consumers because it is easy to care for and clean, providing comfort while sitting. It is also worth noting that leather is better for people with dust allergies compared to fabrics and has a longer lifespan than fabric.

Treatment:

To keep the leather clean, vacuum it to remove dust and use a crevice tool for its seams. Use a clean, soft, and lint-free cloth that is slightly damp with water and rub gently. Avoid direct sunlight exposure to prevent color fading because direct sunlight exposure will make any material fade.
